Mia describes herself as a global citizen. She was born in Sydney, raised in Slovenia, completed her graduate and post graduate degrees in Australia and moved to the USA in 2002.
A career sales leader, who enjoys challenge and variety, Mia has led commercial teams in both technology and life sciences. Her journey has ranged from establishing Dell’s mining, oil and gas business in Perth West Australia to starting up two software companies in New York. She has spent the past four years in in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she helped PwC’s consulting practice significantly expand their footprint in biopharma and beyond.
She is a passionate builder of high performance organizations and enjoys helping others grow their leadership skills and networks, while having fun. A committed believer in the power of giving back to the community, Mia also serves on two non-profit boards; the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association and West Coast Children’s Clinic.
Privately, Mia is a mother of five children and an avid marathon runner and outdoorswoman.
She was appointed to lead Arivale’s commercial function in August 2016.
