“Right Data” not just “Big Data”: how Having Real-Time, Clinical-Grade Biochemistry from Each of Us will change Health Care

Ben Hwang · Profusa

There is a tremendous amount of information and data generated form the proliferation of wearable technologies today.   From steps to heart-rate, much of this information create a context and provide real-time feedback to encourage the users to make healthier choices and actions in managing their own wellbeing.  One notable gap exists in the body of data that can be generated today which can accelerate the promise of digital health, namely the real-time availability of one’s biochemistry.  In this session we’ll explore the barriers and solutions that exist to the creation of technology which enables continuous monitoring of an individual’s biochemistry, and how the availability of this data can change how we manage health and wellbeing for all of us.
